Not Compatible with Oil Pastels: The beeswax doesn’t combine well with the non-drying mineral oils used in oil pastels, try the SpectraFix Degas Fixative instead.

Not for use as a final varnish on Acrylic or Oil Paintings: While it does work well to layer various media into oil or acrylic paintings, it is not intended as a final varnish on oils or acrylics. This is because it absorbs and releases atmospheric moisture, while oils and acrylics do not. Although rare, over a span of years, this 'breathing' on top of the non-absorbent oil or acrylic could cause some delamination.
