  • FinalFix 10oz Aerosol:
    Best spray fixative ever. It's a better alternative to any of the fixatives that come in a     spray paint like container. First off, it's ph neutral so it will not yellow over time. Secondly, it's nontoxic, so you can spray it indoors. Third, it's not sticky so you can use it in a sketchbook. And lastly, it completely coats the work, making it to where there is zero transfer of materials.

  • Degas Spray Fixative:
    First use on a charcoal drawing. Drawing ruined. I love the idea of non-toxic fixative that is odorless, but this was a waste of money. Maybe if it was in a different sprayed that released a very fine mist it would work, but the spray bottle it comes in emits drops of various sizes, so that even spraying was impossible, causing buckled paper and staining. And yes, I know how to use fixative. This has not happened to me with other products.
  • FinalFix 10oz aerosol:
    This is only nontoxic fixative spray I feel comfortable using indoors. It doesn't smear pencils drawing. I didn't give a 5 stars because this spray still makes drawing paper curl up. There is no problem if you spray on canvas drawing.
  • Degas 12oz Fixative:
    I love that it does not smell like toxic chemicals. I use it for fixing chalk pastels and it does the job.

    Great product for mixed media! I combine watercolor, ink, gouache, casein and soft pastel fixing as I go. No smell!! The refillable bottle rocks too.
  • Love FinalFix. Previously, I used a different fixative brand, and the smell was atrocious. This one won't kill you. Plus, it was great for fixing charcoal in one pass.

  • SpectraFix Degas Spray Fixative - 12 oz
    I use this to fix my graphite drawings as also to set sketches on canvas before covering with a base color. It's a great multi use product that doesn't smell. Because it isn't an aerosol, it doesn't get all over and can be used inside.

    Really great product that does not smell, is environmentally friendly, and allows for colored pencil to be "fixed" to allow further layering. This has changed my colored pencil practice, since I no longer dread the smell of regular aerosol fixitives!

    SpectraFix Fixatives are by far the absolute Best spray fixatives available today. No matter if you need to protect the art as you progress or when it's completed. Both versions are available and either product is superb for shielding against the elements. It's specially formulated with no toxic fumes and dries to a matte finish that resists moisture from getting onto artwork, whatever the medium. All of these traits are important to me but most especially important is the ability to protect the work with a minimum color shift, that is key!

    Great product! No odor, so I can use this in my studio. I found that several light passes, followed by a couple of heavier passes, is the best way to go. I like that there are no chemicals. This seems to work better than the other SpectraFix fixatives. I will buy this Final Fix again.

And for things like bookmarks etc. I am trying to stay away from toxic things or things that worse my migraines. And I love all the Spectrafix products. So thankful I found it. No smelly toxic sprays. Yay!!!!

    I love this fixative!! You only need 3 coats for it to fully fix any charcoal, and there are no fumes whatsoever so you can do it indoors. Makes my life so much easier since I live in a small walk-up apartment.

    Buying the wrong fixative can ruin your charcoal, graphite or pastel artwork. Often, other fixatives will darken the piece until it's unrecognizable. This product allows the artwork to remain exactly as it was made without any discoloration or darkening. Buy this product or none at all!
